SIMPLICITY

The sustainability of the system is defined by the simplicity of building. Due to the fact that all the pieces from TerraVis houses are predimensioned and ready for assembly, one of the most expensive and polluting operations in building works disappears. If there is no need for this operation,  than the skilled labour is no longer necessary. That means that we have created a system that reduces on-site work to minimum and can be mounted by anyone, like a family game. The types of TerraVis elements allow an almost infinite combination of solutions like a Lego game, that can be put into operation by anyone.

FLEXIBILITY

Through this constructive system, we do not use the classic design elements: columns, beams, massive walls, etc., but we use longitudinal elements and connection components.

That gives the possibility to mount, remove and reuse design elements without restrictions. A house can grow by adding new components and gives the possibilities for expansion or reduction without inconvenience caused by demolition.

MOBILITY

With this concept, moving a house has become a thing as simple as moving a wardrobe from a house to another.
All is removed and reattached without loss.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Our structure consist of beams and pillars that are made of beech laminated veneer lumber, produced in Germany by Pollmeier. This special product has an exceptional strength due to its fabrication process and it allows structures with high load-bearing capacity combined with significantly slimmer dimensions,  compared to softwood materials. It also allows us to have larger spans.

THE HIGH-TECH PROCESS

The beams are cut and pierced by CNC according to a predetermined model. These elements have various lengths and allow a variety of proportions. We organize them in families and each element is fit for several uses, therefore it carries a number and series to identify its current use.

CONNECTIONS

The nodes have a variety of forms: L, T, I, J, +,  and can support several different angles between 30 and 360 degrees.
The connection is done by a metallic customized joint which is then easily screwed to connect pillar and beam.

The structure will be covered with boards on the external side for extra strength and support for the finishing.
On the inside, there is cellulose insulation, spacial space for installations and any type of plating.
